The Head of Digital Intelligence & Data Platforms will be a key leader responsible for developing data-driven digital strategies and solutions in a biotechnology CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization). This role combines strategic vision in data and technology with operational oversight of digital project implementation. The position requires close collaboration with production, R&D, and quality departments to effectively leverage data, AI, and modern technologies to drive innovation and improve business outcomes.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute data and digital strategies supporting core business areas (production, R&D laboratories, quality control) aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
- Oversee IT infrastructure and data platforms, ensuring alignment with business needs and compliance with industry regulations and security standards.
- Lead and manage the domains of data, technology, and artificial intelligence – setting goals, developing team competencies, and ensuring effective project delivery.
- Combine strategic and operational perspectives – create long-term data and IT roadmaps (including data science and AI initiatives) and supervise ongoing project execution (planning, implementation, technology selection, process optimization).
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (production, R&D, quality, and other departments) to identify business needs and translate them into effective data-driven solutions.
- Represent the company in external engagements (e.g., clients or CDMO partners) when needed in the area of digital solutions and data platforms.
- Initiate and develop new business initiatives (business cases) using data and modern technologies – identifying opportunities to improve processes, increase operational efficiency, and create innovative data-driven services.
Requirements
- Higher education (preferably in computer science, data analytics, engineering, or related fields).
- Extensive experience (minimum 8 years) in data management, digital transformation, or IT, including experience in leading project teams.
- Experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical environment (CDMO or related) – familiarity with R&D, production, and quality assurance processes is a strong asset.
- Proficiency in data analytics, data science, and AI, including the ability to identify and implement innovative digital solutions that support the business.
- Strategic and operational capabilities – ability to develop long-term technology strategies and effectively manage project execution and implementations.
- Strong leadership skills – ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, motivate employees, and communicate clearly and professionally across all organizational levels.
