Quality Control Specialist, Microbiologist - maternity cover (female/male)

Person employed in this position will be responsible for conducting microbiological testing, monitoring the manufacturing environment, participating in qualifications and validations, and supporting the team in laboratory analyses in accordance with GMP requirements and the quality system.

Main responsibilities

• Performing microbiological testing of finished products, intermediates, raw materials, packaging materials, and clean media, including reporting of results.
• Conducting microbiological monitoring of the manufacturing environment and sampling of clean media in accordance with GMP.
• Carrying out sterilization tests (bioindicators, physico‑chemical methods) and growth promotion tests of media and buffers.
• Participating in qualifications and validations of installations, equipment, cleanrooms, as well as production and cleaning processes.
• Supporting transfer, validation, and verification of microbiological methods and performing analytical work related to these processes.
• Maintaining laboratory and QMS documentation, including preparation, review, and archiving documents.
• Conducting investigations (OOS, OOT, OOL, complaints) and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Preparing and operating laboratory equipment: sterilization, cleaning, pipette control, preparation of reagents and media.
• Managing waste and maintaining 6S standards, as well as overseeing the cleanliness of rooms and equipment.
• Participating in audits, training sessions, and quality-related activities.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in microbiology, biology, or biotechnology.
• Experience in laboratory work related to microbiology/analytics.
• Knowledge of GMP standards and compliance requirements.
• Good command of English, both spoken and written.
• Good computer skills, including MS Office.
• Ability to set priorities and work in a multitasking environment.
• Commitment, punctuality, accuracy, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to communicate effectively within Quality Control teams.
