Quality Control Junior Assistant - Microbiologist (12 months long Internship Career Lab)

Are you eager to expand your expertise in a fast-paced, cutting-edge lab environment? Join our Quality Control team as a Junior Assistant and contribute to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety in microbiological testing.

 

You role would be to:

 

  • Conduct microbiological monitoring of the production environment in line with GMP requirements, plans, and schedules.
  • Collect clean media samples and help to perform microbiological diagnostics, including working with microorganisms.
  • Support the team in performing microbiological and analytical testing of end products, intermediate products, starting materials, and clean media.
  • Prepare media, reagents, and laboratory equipment needed for testing.
  • Perform and document sterilization processes, ensuring sterilization efficiency using bioindicators and physico-chemical methods.
  • Conduct growth promotion tests for media and buffers.
  • Manage waste generated in the QC laboratory, ensuring proper sorting and decontamination.
  • Maintain, clean, and calibrate control and measurement equipment, including pipettes and laboratory apparatus.
  • Participate in the preparation and review of laboratory documentation, such as test procedures, operating instructions, and QMS documentation.

 

Our expectations:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree (completed last or this year, or currently in the final two years of your degree) preferably in microbiology, biology, or a related field (biotechnology, etc).
  • At least limited practical laboratory experience gained through independent work, education, or internships.
  • Availability to work five days a week, eight hours a day.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic knowledge of analytical techniques.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Working proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Commitment to accuracy, timeliness, and continuous learning.
  • Effective communication skills and openness to new challenges.
